Kevin provided these genuine props for the shoot. His bow is a Mongolian horsebow, made of ox horn leather and wood. The compact design makes it easier to operate on horseback. The deer (skull) was probably a 3 or 4 year old male, taken with a different bow 5 or so years ago when he still hunted regularly. Every part of the deer was used or eaten. The military hat was from his great uncle, who was a medic in the European theatre of WW2. Badges and insignia were removed out of respect for the unit.
